Wow! this was a great find, these two very old items were just found in a very old house together in a very old small box when the family was cleaning up the estate since the family that lived there passed away recently. It was found in Belleville Illinois and brought to me at my Antique Flea Market that i promote to get my opinion on it. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw these two very old relics. So after i bought them from these people i took them home and started looking through my civil war relic books and found one just like this one in Shannon Pritchard`s Collecting the Confederacy book. And after doing some measuring in mm it measures up to what the Buckle books says it should be. The very old tin type of the two Ladies & brass frame is very old and it was with the Very Rare C.S. Confederate buckle i wished i knew more about who owned them at one time.
