Identified 1850`s Foot Officer's Sword & Original
Leather Scabbard, Lt./ Captain Oscar Jewett
7th Michigan Infantry & 1st Nevada Cavalry
{ Wounded at Gettysburg Pa. { $5995.00 }
This is a very rare 1850`s Foot Officer`s sword & leather scabbard, The maker of the sword was Palmer, Bachelder's & Co. from Boston. Lt. Oscar Jewett started off in the 7th Michigan Infantry as a wagoner and was in the Battle of Gettysburg and was wounded, then in 1864 he mustered into the 1st Nevada Cavalry and was out west fighting the Indian wars. His rank was Lt./Captain and by all of these records that we have on him and his brother that was in the 16th Michigan Infantry and was killed on little round top on the 2nd of July 1863 and he was a Lt. at this time so we believe this was his sword at Gettysburg Lt. Wallace E. Jewett and his brother took this sword from him after he died and carried it threw the rest civil war and Indian wars with him.
This is a wonderful 1850`s Foot Officer`s sword Overall length 37 inches& blade length 31 inches that was carried by the two brothers though the civil war and Indian wars and on the leather scabbard there's an old tag that reads: It also is scratched on the brass handle Captain and his name it's hard to see.
{ Property at one time of Capt. O. Jewett Civil War }
And you get all of the Documents & file and Military Records on these brothers, this very nice Identified Sword came from Civil War Dealer Vinnie Caponi from New York he always has the best & Rarest Civil War Relics.

Very Rare "M" Rifle Enfield Type 1 Dated 1863
3 band musket { SOLD ON HOLD LAY AWAY }
This is one of the rarest Enfield type 1 dated 1863 3 band musket that you can find in my opinion, it does look like it was damaged at one time on the top of the wood stock and has been repaired at that time. it measures 55 inches overall length, and it has a 39-inch barrel. it also has the number on the barrel 25 for a 58 caliber. Also, Ed Holloways book Confederate Long Arms & Pistols makes a good case that M-Rifles were built by Watson for the Confederate firm of Murdock & Morrison.
